CORONAVIRUS- AN OUTCOME OF A PLAY BETWEEN MAN AND NATURE

Our Solar System evolved gradually from Nebular to Stars and then Planets seperating from them. This evolution did not end and further among all the millions of planets miracle happened on one of them. i.e Earth. Ever thought why we got so lucky ? 

Ya..ya..scientifically proven that earth had the most apt living conditions which led to the growth of microorganisms ,atmosphere, plants ,animals and ultimately humans. 

But have we ever thought why it was Earth..apt conditions could have been on any other planet as well ..?? 

So may be I m trying to say ..it was destiny... okay let's not get into this unending debate let's come back to the current 21st century. 

Before going further we will rewind the story.. Nebula - Stars- Planets- Solar System-Earth-Atmosphere-Living Organisms-Humans(the most powerful living species..they call themselves "Homo Sapiens "..yes they keep their own name unlike the usual process of parents or elders keeping their name)

Humans(who looked like apes in beginning) began settling on Earth. In the beginning they could not understand the Nature just as Theory of Determinism says and so were dependent on it for every requirements like food ,water,shelter etc. Natural Disasters were regarded as punishment by nature so they tried to please nature by singing ,dancing and objectifying natural objects. 

"I wonder how nature must have felt at that time??

Okay so you are serving me with meat or flower...fine..but it hardly matters ..because I will do what I am supposed to do."

Slowly as per the Law of Evolution ..Humans evolved further. Started becoming more capable of doing things as they understood their host. Just like a host parasite relationship they started developing resistance to any attack by nature and became more and more confident. They started feeling supreme commander , left the practice of pleasing nature and focused on their selfish needs and greeds. They began exploiting nature just as dumb and weak animals are exploited. This time nature couldn't say a word.. "She felt betrayed and remained silent "

the process continued .......

After a span of time Humans realized something went wrong. "Why is nature so upset?"

They realized this first time when they felt the after effects of pollution and concepts like ozone layer depletion. They thought.... "o..skin burns..doesn't matter..we can handle it up. Lets call a meeting and decide how to fix it?" 

They gathered in large numbers to decide how to fix the unknown damage..called meetings after meetings.. like Rio Summit,Kyoto Protocol,Paris Agreement and so on. But has this achieved its goal?? I cant see any great progress in these summits except the repair of ozone hole which might be temporary. On top of it there is a lack of sensitivity among the global leaders like US withdrawing from Paris Agreement.

Lets come back to current situation... and rewind the story before going any further.

Nebula - Stars- Planets- Solar System-Earth-Atmosphere-Living Organisms-Humans stage 1 (nature dependent) -Human Stage 2 (overconfident)-Nature upset(don't say a word)- Human Stage 3 (little conscious)- Nature is still quite..retaliates slowly(she is more hurt).

So,finally we are about to explore the current situation. The nature which we left sad ,disheartened... has packed her bag ..Worn her shoes and decided to take her revenge in all possible forms. Revenge is not simple... It is just like a Kabaddi game(played in India). She is coming and teasing us and slowly and slowly, making our players fall. She is teaching us many lessons of life which our Grandparents used to teach us and we ignored. The weapon She is using is  'CORONA' virus. The most unexpected weapon one can ever think. This weapon is so powerful that nobody can stand in front of it..whether they are a billionare ,terrorists,or a poor. 

• It makes no distinction between rich or poor,big or small,young or old ,developed or developing or LDC. She says "common people ..you divided the society and world..I will teach you what is inclusiveness."

• It has brought down the pollution levels which humans were trying to do for centuries. She says "you poor folk..came in my home and destroyed it. Now I will mend it and in return punish you for wrong doing."

The data of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), shows that the air quality index (AQI) in as many as 61 cities have recorded “satisfactory”, level and 30 cities have recorded “good” level. The air quality of 12 cities has recorded at “moderate” category.

A study by specialist outlet Carbon Brief found that in China, carbon dioxide emissions have fallen by around 25 percent.

• It brought new forms of untouchability .."modern untouchability"  by social distancing. Humans practiced it since ancient times in different forms just to show the others small or weaker . Nature has defied this form of definition and said "if you humans were so trained in letting others down then try this with your own family ..now tell me how it feels to stay away from your own family members??"

• It brought the "value of social interaction and love for our own people" . Due to fear of death people want to see their family ..They now are realising the value of socialising is higher than the value of social media.

Nature is a Great Teacher. She is soft and at times harsh..She is Mother and at times Father. She is gaurdian and a guide..this time She is a bit strict but She knows humans have survived several battles and come so far..and it is just another practical exam for us..in which we will definitely win soon. But whatever will happen She will definitely teach us our lessons for lifetime.
